Yolanda Fears is not afraid, although she has every right to be. Eighteen years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer—the first in her family. With the help of EAMC, she fought it and survived. Then in 2002, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Again, she turned to the Cancer Center at EAMC.
Temple Anderson was playing tennis, which he frequently did, when all of a sudden he had absolutely no strength. Later, tests showed he was two pints low on blood, which led to the discovery of colon cancer. He had surgery to remove 18” of his colon, and then came the hard part—a year of chemotherapy.
Fred Lacy is one smart man. He has a Ph.D. in history. He teaches Bible studies three times a week. And. he was smart enough to have a PSA test for prostate cancer every year. Ten years ago, he discovered he had prostate cancer. He was referred to EAMC.
